Sarah visits Bordeaux

September/October 2023

Sarah Noll, Research Associate at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, just completed her visit to Professor Caroline Tokarski’s lab at the University of Bordeaux.  She spent five-weeks receiving hands-on training in the preparation of oils, paints, and cultural heritage samples for bottom-up proteomics, as well as data analysis methods. This training is part of the larger National Endowment for the Humanities grant project to identify chia seed proteins in works of art from New Spain. Outside of lab, Sarah made sure to squeeze in some time to explore Bordeaux on her bicycle!
