Étonnante chimie pour un grand oral percutant
Amazing chemistry for a hard-hitting oral

13/06/2022

“Étonnante chimie pour un grand oral percutant!” is a partnership between the Ministry of National Education, Youth, and Sports, and the CNRS aiming to bring together high school students and those working in the field of chemistry. The first events of this partnership started taking place in December 2021, and will continue around France until summer 2022. The event for the region of Nouvelle Aquitaine was organized on 13th June 2022. It was an opportunity for the students to reflect before their final high school exams, the Baccalaureate Grand Oral.

How to become a chemist? What remains to be discovered in chemistry? The partnership “Étonnante chimie pour un Grand oral percutant !” will allow high school students to ask these questions directly to chemists. The students will thus be able to use the content of these meetings with their teachers for the Grand Oral examination of the baccalaureate, by presenting one of the 54 issues dealt with in the book Étonnante chimie. They will be able to deal with subjects such as how to “make works of art speak” inspired by the chapter written by ARCHE co-directors Caroline Tokarski and Julie Arslanoglu.
