Daniel Vallejo performed structural analysis of proteins relevant to cultural heritage using ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS). By developing triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG) and using native mass spectrometry we can begin to study the native structure of proteins relevant to art, and by determining their “starting” structure more accurately characterize the change biological materials experience during their life as objects of cultural heritage.
